Overview
Skyline Ridge Fire Company is staffing a Type 6 engine module for the 2026 fire season, focused on readiness, professionalism, and strong crew culture. This is a leadership role for a fully qualified ENGB to supervise a 3-person crew on state and federal incidents. Looking for someone who can run the engine independently, keep the crew dialed, and take ownership of the module.
Compensation
- $45–$50/hour DOE
- +$5.09/hour H&W fringe (first 40 hrs/week)
- Overtime at 1.5x after 40 hours
- Strong assignment and overtime potential
- Season incentive based on activation days
- Sign-on bonus available for qualified candidates DOE
Minimum Requirements
Applicants must meet ALL of the following:
- Fully qualified ENGB (no trainees at this time)
- Minimum 1 season in an acting ENGB role
- Current Red Card
- RT-130 + Pack Test current or scheduled (May 2026 acceptable)
- 2+ seasons as FFT1 or higher on engine crews
- Valid driver’s license
- MSPA / DOT medical certificate (or able to obtain)
- Ability to deploy nationally on short notice

This is a small crew operation—attitude, reliability, and judgment matter.
