Incident Performance and Evaluations

2026 Performance

During its first season operating Engine E-26, Skyline Ridge Fire Company completed assignments on the Cottonwood and Rosenbaum fires, performing initial attack, patrol, mop-up, pump and readiness operations. On its first day at Rosenbaum, E-26 deployed its full complement of trunk hose and laterals to provide water support for the Winema Hotshots and other hand crews working directly on the fireline to prevent the fire from crossing Highway 19. Incident supervisors rated Skyline Ridge Satisfactory in every contractor-performance category, with individual ratings of Satisfactory or Superior and recognition for professionalism, leadership, crew training, communication, equipment and cooperation with adjoining resources.

Professional Service and Continual Improvement

The 2026 season was Skyline Ridge Fire Company’s first year operating E-26. From initial attack and hose-lay operations to patrol, mop-up and supporting hand crews through pump and water-supply operations, the company demonstrated its ability to adapt to changing assignments and work effectively with other resources.

That feedback reflects how Skyline Ridge approaches every assignment: arrive prepared, communicate clearly, maintain strong equipment and complete assigned work safely and professionally.
